José Cummins 'Mimoes' Valenzuela passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Monday, April 10, 2023, at the age of 48 years.

José was the son of José Gamez Valenzuela & Joan Cummins, born on May 11, 1974, in Yuma, Arizona. He was brought up in California and attended schools in Riverside, Paris, and Moreno Valley. He moved to Oklahoma in 1997, and has made his home in Holdenville for fifteen years, since February 2, 2008. He worked for several years at Goodson Feed in Holdenville and various other occupations in the area. He enjoyed rebuilding old cars and doing mechanic work. Some of his favorite things were riding motorcycles and 4-wheelers, skating and dancing. His family was the light of his life and he loved grilling for them and just spending time with them.

He is preceded in death by his father, José Gamez Valenzuela.

He is survived by his wife, Autumn, of the home; seven children: Trina Lesperance (Cody) of Broken Bow, Rena Valenzuela of Wilburton, José R. Valenzuela of Wilburton, Haley Gutieriz of Texas, Bradley Joe Burton of McAlester, Ethan Valenzuela and Kyndel Nikole Valenzuela, both of the home; twelve grandchildren: Willie Jack, Taylie, Gabriella, Benson, Sebastian, Theodore, Elena, Mia, Anzlee, Maria, Michael, and Liam; his mother, Joan Cummins of Wilburton; one brother, Rufus Johnny Valenzuela, and one sister, Joann Navarro; numerous other family members and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, 6:00pm at First Baptist Church in Holdenville, with Rev. Jon Ewers officiating. Pallbearers were Bradley Burton, Harley Bell, Joey Burge, Bradley Crowell, Humberto Otiveros, José Valenzuela, and Ethan Valenzuela.
