Johnny W. Frederick's Obituary
Johnny W. Frederick passed away in Wewoka, Oklahoma on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the age of 85 years.
Johnny was the son of John W. Frederick & Martha (Sanders) Frederick, born on February 5, 1931, in Allen, Oklahoma, where he was brought up and attended schools. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in February of 1953 and served fourteen months in Germany before being honorably discharged in late 1955. He married Wanda Lively on February 26, 1955 in Atwood, their lifelong home. They were blessed with three children, and sixty-one years together.
Johnny loved fishing and gardening. He loved the Lord and was a member of the Atwood Church of Christ. He loved people, and enjoyed visiting with friends in Atwood and in the surrounding communities. He was a member of the Allen Masonic Lodge. His family was the joy of his life. He was dearly loved and he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John & Martha Frederick; two sisters, Bessie Scroggins and Jean Noble; four brothers: Jesse Frederick, Orel Frederick, Athel Frederick, and Royal Tillery.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Wanda, of the home; one son, LaWayne Frederick (Jennifer) of Atwood, and two daughters, Brenda Ring (Robby) of Atwood and Debbie Walker (Bobby) of Kullihoma; seven grandchildren: Jeremy Boolin of Wetumka, Justin Boolin of Ada, Kevin Crabtree of Gillette WY, Daniel Crabtree (Pam) of Atwood, Jala Wallace of Atwood, Jenny Trump of Atwood, and Jerry Frederick (Amanda) of Allen; fourteen great grandchildren: Zach, Emma, Michaela, Taylor, Jaycee, Hope, Will, Brady, Maddie, Heath, Kaylea, Gracie, Kirsten, and Kierra; one brother, Samuel Tillery (Christine) of Durant; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday,November 15, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the Atwood Church of Christ. Johnny was laid to rest in the Atwood Cemetery with military honors by the Chickasaw Nation Honor Guard. Keith Warren and Earl Scroggins were the officiating ministers. Pallbearers were Daniel Crabtree, Kevin Crabtree, Jala Wallace, Jerry Frederick, Jeremy Boolin, Justin Boolin, and Jenny Trump.
