Jerry Randolph Grant, age 75, passed away at his home in Gerty on October 10, 2015, after being ill for several years. Jerry was born November 29, 1939, at Flower Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lester T. Grant & Ollie Louise (Kesseler) Grant. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1958, where he received the Shaw Award. He went on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Engineering at OSU. After graduating, he served in the Army in Okinawa as a Paratrooper.
He married Jennifer Nix on July 2, 1966. He received his Masters Degree in Business Management at TU in the evenings. Through the years he worked for Lee C. Moore, T. D. Williamson, and Cooper Manufacturing.
He is survived by two daughters, Tina Grant and Sarah Grant; his devoted caregivers, Jennifer Grant Hamilton & John Hamilton, who have looked after him since he suffered a stroke in 2003 and developed Alzheimer's disease. He is also survived by his two sisters, Marilyn Bamberger and Barbara Headrick (David); also by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at 10:00 a.m. on December 27, 2015, as a part of the Sunday service at Gerty United Methodist Church.
