Walcie Jane Keeney passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the age of 85 years.

Jane is the daughter of Miles David Black & Evie Olivia (Robinson) Black, born on December 13, 1940, in Ragtown, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and graduated Holdenville High School with the Class of 1959. She was married to Jerry Keeney on May 31, 1960, in Horntown. Holdenville was their lifelong home.

Jane worked for various garment factories including Seamprufe in Holdenville and Lillian Russell in Wewoka, and for United Design in Wewoka. She was a cook for Holdenville Schools for more than twenty years, retiring in 2015. She loved dancing the two-step with Jerry. She enjoyed sewing, planting flowers, and taking care of her lawn. She loved her hunting dogs she made into pets, Beagles named Macha, Rebels, J. D., Sassy, and Crick.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Miles & Evie Black; her husband of thirty-four years, Jerry Keeney; three brothers: Oscar Black, Junior Black, and Albert Black; one sister, Jean Prince; one infant child.

She is survived by two sons, Steve Keeney (Misty) of Sasakwa, and Scott Keeney of Holdenville; four grandchildren: Heath Keeney (Courtney) of Ada, Terran Conley (Shawn) of Rogers AR, Jerred Keeney (Ashley) of Sasakwa, and Maddison Keeney (Timothy Gilbert) of Holdenville; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters: Dorothy Jones and Shirley Arthur, both of Holdenville, and Joann Jumet of Odessa MO; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Graveside services were held and Jane was laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery at 3:00pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with Pastor Ron Hunter officiating.
