James Fisher of Holdenville, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2012, in Claremore, Oklahoma.

James was born February 21, 1933, in Non, Oklahoma, the son of Jessie J. Fisher & Oma (Campbell) Fisher. James served his country in the U. S. Army from 1950 - 1956 and was present the day the Chinese entered the Korean War, crossing the Yalu River. He also served in the U. S. Air Force in 1957.

James is preceded in death by his brother, Casey Fisher, and 3 sisters: Maggie Welch, Lillie Cane, and Elma Medler.

James is survived by a brother, Bud Fisher, and a sister, Margaret Byrd, and several nieces and nephews. James never married or had children, but loved his nieces and nephews like they were his own, and will be dearly missed by them all.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating. James will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery.
