James Dean
Davis Jr.
August 10, 1989 – March 3, 2026
James Dean Davis Jr., 36, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord surrounded by the love of his family on March 3, 2026. He was born in Oklahoma City on August 10, 1989, to James and Robin Davis.
From an early age, James lived life with energy, creativity, and a spirit that was impossible to ignore. His childhood was filled with skateboarding through the neighborhood, writing poetry, and making rap videos that, if they had been made today, would probably have gone viral. He was also well known for "terrorizing" his siblings in the way only a brother could, something they will laugh about and cherish forever.
As he grew older, James became an incredibly talented welder and machinist. Those who knew James marveled at his uncanny hand–eye coordination. It came so naturally to him and showed in everything he did. He was the kind of man who could make anything and fix everything. If something was broken, James could figure it out. His skill with his hands and his mind made him one of the most naturally gifted craftsmen you could ever meet.
James was as tough as they come, but those who knew him best knew his heart was even bigger than his strength. He loved deeply and fiercely. Nothing meant more to him than his family. Being a brother and uncle were the titles he held closest to his heart. He adored his nieces and nephews more than life itself.
James was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Cecil and Muriel Davis, Wayne and Johnnie Suggs; and his uncle, Kenny Wayne Suggs.
He leaves behind his loving parents, James and Robin Davis; his siblings, Colby, Krissa, Erick, Lindsey and husband Albert, Megan, Shelby and wife Jasmine Davis.
He is also survived by his cherished nieces, Haley, Kelsey, Jazmine, Alexus, Rielly, Addison, and Myka; his nephews, Cody, Elijah and coming April 2026, baby James Dean, and his great-nieces and nephews, Lorenzo, Olivia, and Percy. James also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly, they will miss him beyond measure.
James Dean, lived with passion, creativity, and a heart that loved bigger than life. His family finds comfort in knowing that the love he gave so freely will continue to live on in each of them.
Memorial services were held on Monday, March 19, 2026, 12:00 noon at New Community Church in Oklahoma City, followed by graveside services at 3:30pm at Tate Mountain Cemetery in Wewoka, with Butch Hodge officiating. Pallbearers were Shelby Davis, Colby Davis, Brandon Davis, Jeffery Peterson, Erick Davis, Roy Gunnoe, Elijah Velazquez, and Albert Velazquez.
