Jack Bible Jr. passed away in Wewoka, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 70 years.

Jack is the son of Jack Bible Sr. & Ada Jean (Holson) Bible, born on September 3, 1953 in Patterson, California. He was brought up moving with his family back and forth between California and Oklahoma, with the majority of time spent in Oklahoma. He graduated Wewoka High School in 1971, joined the U. S. Marines, and earned the rank of Sergeant. Following military service he returned to Wewoka, where he worked for more than thirty years as maintenance man for the Oak Ridge Home. He retired in 2018 at age 65 and enjoyed spending time fishing and hunting, and shooting; he was an avid gun enthusiast and loved target practicing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jack Bible Sr; two brothers, Preston Bible and Keith Bible.

He is survived by his stepmother, Barbara Bible, of the home; three sisters: Lisa Harrod of Seminole, Gena Henning of North Carolina, and Kristen Hardwick of Wewoka; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 8, 2024, and Jack was laid to rest with military honors at Tate Mountain Cemetery south of Wewoka.
