Obituary

Ida Sue Taylor passed away in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at the age of 43 years.
Ida was the daughter of Jimmy & Idalene (McGeeley) Taylor, born on May 19, 1976, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. She graduated Holdenville High School with the class of 1994, and worked for a while as a waitress and various other jobs. In 2010, she attended Paul Mitchell Cosmetology School in Norman, and for the past seven years has worked as a hairstylist at Copper Comb in Seminole. She has been married to Colin Coon for the past fifteen years.
Ida loved spending time with her kids, at home or attending their sporting events. She was fond of her dogs, Swag and Asher, and her cat, Waymon. She was of the Baptist faith and was baptized as a member of First Baptist Church in Purcell, later moving her membership to Prairie Springs Baptist Church in Okemah. She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis & Ida McGeeley.
She is survived by her husband, Colin Coon, of the home; three children: Caleb Hodgins of Holdenville, Kaity Hodgins of Seminole, and Caleson Coon of Okemah; her parents, Jimmy & Idalene Taylor of Holdenville; one sister, Raney Fixico of Holdenville, and two brothers, Tommy John Taylor of Holdenville, and Lance Taylor of Wewoka; her mother-in-law, Betty Smith of Okemah; her dear friend who was more like a sister, Phyllis Gardner of Midwest City; numerous nieces and nephews, including Kayton Lefthand, Carmyn Lefthand, Lesha Hill, Alley Taylor, Courtney Taylor, and Erin Taylor; various other family members, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, 2:00 p.m. at Salt Creek Methodist Church, and Ida was laid to rest at Morning Glory Family Cemetery north of Holdenville. Rev. David Long and Mr. Louis McGeeley were the officiating ministers. Pallbearers were Tommy Taylor, Lance Taylor, Tim McGeeley, Wade Davis, Glen Zink, and Billy Gardner. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne McGeeley, Switzer McGeeley, and Greg Smith.
