Hershel Dale Letka passed away in Norman, Oklahoma on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 74 years.

Dale is the son of Porter & Ora (King) Letka, born on November 28, 1950, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up in the Holdenville area and attended Moss Schools, graduating Moss High School with the Class of 1968. He attended Okmulgee Tech and earned a certificate in Printing and Graphic Arts. He was an excellent artist. He joined the U.S. Army in December of 1971 and served until August of 1973, when he was honorably discharged. He was a dedicated Christian and enjoyed listening to preaching on TV. In his local church he was active in children's and youth ministries.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Porter & Ora Letka; brother Bill Larney, and sisters Jennie Stone and Rose Morrow; nephew Mark Foster.

He is survived by his sister, Naomi Scheuerman of Choctaw and his brother, Robert Letka (Stephanie) of Prague; two nephews, Matthew Foster (Summer) of Choctaw and Eric Morrow (Kim) of Meeker; one niece, Teresa Foster of Choctaw; other family members and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, 1:00pm at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel in Holdenville, and Dale was laid to rest at Cedar River Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Robert King was the officiating minister.
