Herman Dee Medlock, 93, of Holdenville, passed away on January 2, 2020 in Holdenville, OK.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on January 6, 2020 at East Main Church of Christ with Kevin Wright officiating.
Herman Dee Medlock was born in Cartersville, OK to Eugene and Dorsey Medlock on June 14, 1926-attending school at Jingle Mountain. Herman married Wilma Lee Wigington on April 12, 1947 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He attended Oklahoma A&M (OSU), working as a manager and owner for OTASCO for 36 years-16 years spent with OTASCO in Holdenville, OK. Herman was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Army of Occupation Ribbon, and 2 Overseas Service Bars. Herman served Our Lord with worship at the East Main Church of Christ for 50 years; Prisoner Ministry for 25 years; and several Missions for Ministry attended outside of the US. He was also a member of the America Legion, VFW, and many more.
Herman Dee Medlock is preceded in death by: Father, Eugene Medlock. Mother, Dorsey Medlock (Shepard). Brother, Kenneth Medlock. Spouse, Wilma Medlock (Wigington). Son, Jerry Don Medlock, Sr. Granddaughter, Brook Foxen.
