Obituary

Hazel Christine Allen passed away in Henryetta, Oklahoma on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the age of 69 years.

Christine was the daughter of Bert Henry Robison & Amy Ruby Lee (Kindred) Robison, born on October 13, 1946 in Dustin, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. She graduated Dustin High School with the Class of 1964. She was married in Dustin to Virgil 'Bud' Allen on May 25, 1964. They lived in Wetumka, Dustin, and Yeager, and were blessed with 48 years together before Bud's passing on August 20, 2012.

Christine worked as a CNA for nine years at Holdenville Nursing Home, and for thirteen years at Heritage Village Nursing Home. She enjoyed making quilt tops and plastic canvas, and she loved to read. She was very active in the American Legion Auxiliary, where she was a Gold Star Member, and served in various capacities, including President. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dustin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert & Amy Robison; her husband, Virgil 'Bud' Allen; two brothers, Clarence Edward Robison and Virgil Wayne Robison, and one sister, Clarice Tillery.

She is survived by four children: Steven Ray Allen (Trina) of Holdenville, Sonia Conley (Bill) of Holdenville, Charlene Steele (Dave) of Grand Prairie TX, and Donna Crawford (Eldon) of Yeager; eight grandsons and three granddaughters; ten great grandchildren; four sisters: Margaret Henry of Henryetta, Ruby Faye Carter and Roberta Lynn Mouser, both of Weleetka, and Carol J. Carroll of Missouri; other family members, and many friends.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 9, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at the Holdenville Church of The Nazarene, and Christine will be laid to rest in the Yeager Cemetery. Rev. Dane Robinson is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Brant Crawford, Michael Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Bryce Bishop, Robert Archer, Jarrell Allen, and Paul Tillery.
