Marie Crowell passed away at her home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on October 26, 2017. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her passing.

She was born to Abraham and Gladys Marie (Sloss) Townzen on August 14, 1944 in San Jose, California. On April 7, 1962 she married the love of her life and best friend Earl Dean Crowell in Morgan Hill, California and from that union her son John Allan Crowell and daughter Kimberly (Crowell) Wright were born.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her son, brother Allan Townzen and sister Brenda Lyons.

Survivors include her husband; daughter Kimberly and son-in-law Timothy Wright of Alice, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Ashley Hicks of Okemah OK, Logan and Sara Miller of Holdenville OK, and Jon Crowell of the Tulsa OK area; 5 great grandchildren: Madison, Makenzi, Aiden, Trinity, and Nathan; sisters Sue Getz of Oregon, Robin Lindahl of Oregon, Sandra Bessent of Ohio, Melody Townzen of California, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2017, at Grace United Pentecostal Church in Holdenville with Pastor Kevin Fisher officiating the service. Pallbearers were Logan and Sara Miller, Ashley Hicks, Adam Griffin, David Rider, David Hamilton, with honorary bearer being Bill Whittacker. Interment followed at the Holdenville Cemetery.
