Gearl Dean
Shed
August 16, 1933 – December 2, 2021
Gearl Dean 'Bossman' Shed passed away at his home in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 88 years.
Gearl was the son of Claude Dean Shed & Eva (Eves) Shed, born on August 16, 1933, in Atwood, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in the Atwood and Holdenville area, and graduated Atwood High School with the Class of 1951. He served four years in the U.S. Army. He married Wilma Morrow in 1957, and lived his entire adult life in the Holdenville area, where he worked as a farmer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, but what he enjoyed most was working. More than anything he loved his family, and loved spending time with them. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and he will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Eva Shed; his wife, Wilma Shed; his sister, Pauline Kight.
He is survived by four sons: Larry Shed (Kai Lee Norwood) of Colorado Springs CO, Gene Shed (Carla) of Holdenville, Garland Shed of Holdenville, and Monty Shed of Greely CO; nine grandchildren: Matt Shed, Kevin Shed, Jeremy Shed, Jamasen Shed, Amy Shed, Morgan Gosey, Mitchell Gosey, Justin Shed, and Erica Forsgren; seventeen great grandchildren; one sister, Joann Benefield of Ada; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Private family services are planned for a later date.
