Gary Lynn Ladd passed away in his hometown of Holdenville, Oklahoma on Monday, April 12, 2010, his 56th birthday.

Gary was the son of Norvell & Ruby (Burns) Ladd, born on April 12, 1954, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Calvin, and for a brief time in Oklahoma City. He married Judy Kay Rogers on November 12, 1991, at Fort Smith, Arkansas. He worked for many years as foreman of an Asplundh crew doing tree removal and disposal, and also with a seismograph crew. He was familiar in the Hughes County area for several years as Ladd Pest Control. He worked last as a truck driver for the pipeline, until his health failed and he was no longer able.

Gary enjoyed playing Dominos with friends at Babb Automotive, and drinking coffee at Bobbie's. He loved to fish and he loved to eat. More than anything else, he loved his grandchildren. He left countless happy memories and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Norvell Ladd, and two brothers, Dale Ladd and James Ladd.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home; five children, fourteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; numerous other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, and Gary will be laid to rest in the Calvin Cemetery. Rev. Jim Lawrence and Rev. Kris Travis are the officiating ministers. Pallbearers are Kris Travis, Willie Bailey, Oscar Chelf, John Freeman, Michael Wallace and Kristen Trimm. Honorary pallbearers are the coffee drinkers and domino players whose company Gary truly enjoyed.
