Frances Joyce McBride passed away in Seminole, Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the age of 88 years.
Frances was the daughter of Tiger & Lavina (Wright) Wesley, born on January 15, 1929, in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Her family lived in the Ragtown area until moving into Holdenville when Frances was eight years old. She attended Holdenville and Moss Schools, and later received her GED. She was married to Leonard Madron in 1952, and was blessed with two daughters, Frances and Allegra. Leonard passed away on June 4, 1962. Frances married R. B. Wood, who passed away in 1969, and later married Frank McBride, who also preceded her in death.
Frances worked for many years as a nurses aide for Boyce Manor Nursing Home, and then as a seamstress at Seamprufe, where she retired after many years. She was a member of the Holdenville Church of the Nazarene. She loved bowling, and was a member of various leagues in the Seminole area. She loved to sew, and to make her children's clothes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Tiger & Lavina Wesley; three husbands: Leonard Madron, R. B. Wood, and Frank McBride; one daughter, Allegra Venable; one grandson, Wesley Lumpkin.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Frances & Bill Lumpkin; one grandson, Jamie Lasater, and one great granddaughter, Macy Lasater, all of Holdenville; various other family members and friends.
Graveside services were held at the Holdenville Cemetery Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2017, with Rev. Marla Chesser officiating.
