Eva Louise Wimberly passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday morning, April 30, 2023, at the age of 73 years.
Eva was the daughter of Jerry & Mary (McCoy) Fromm, born on July 27, 1949, in Oklahoma City. She was brought up and attended schools in Yukon, and was married in Yukon to Danny Wimberly on January 15, 1968. They lived all over the U.S. following Danny's military career, and spent the last few years stationed in Germany before Danny retired after serving more than twenty-two years. They returned to the States and lived for a while in Chicago, Illinois and in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, then purchased their current homeplace in Cromwell, their home since 1996. Eva worked for sixteen years as a nurse's aide at Shawnee Care Center. She loved mowing the yard, especially with the ZTR mover Danny bought for her. She loved perusing Pinterest for recipes, and taking care of their rescue dogs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerry & Mary Fromm, and a son, Danny Wimberly Jr. in 2019.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Danny Wimberly, of the home; her daughter, Lorri Lynch of Oklahoma City. Four granddaughters: Kaila Lynch (Tyler Merida) of Midwest City, Kiaya Lynch (Calvin Smith) of Oklahoma City, Kiarra Lynch of Warr Acres, and Tabitha Falzon of Oklahoma City; three grandsons: Kalias Lynch, Josh Falzon, and Braden Falzon, all of Oklahoma City; one great grandson on the way; one brother, Bobby Fromm of Mustang, and two sisters, Frances Fromm of El Reno and Teresa Sanders of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, May 3, 2:00pm at Little Cemetery in Little, Oklahoma, with Rev. Billy Chesser officiating. Pallbearers were Kalias Lynch, Ron Lynch, Calvin Smith, Tyler Merida, Danny Wimberly, and Bobby Fromm.
