Esther Librada Riddle passed away at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville on Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the age of 87 years.
Esther was born in Rancho Del Charco, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Guadalupe & Maria Loya, the third in a family of thirteen children. She was born an American citizen due to the heroism of her father, as he saved General John H. Pershing's expedition from ambush set up by Pancho Villa. For this, her father was awarded American citizenship and made a member of the United States Army.
Esther immigrated to the U.S. about 1950. She married Robert Riddle on April 15, 1977, in El Paso, Texas. They have lived in Holdenville since 1978.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe & Maria Loya; a daughter, Ludy; one sister and seven brothers.
Surviving her death is her husband, Bob, stepson Bob Jr., and grandson Roberto; three sisters: Emma, Bertha, and Olga; two brothers, Cuco and Leonel.
Esther loved to paint and sew. She was a devout Christian, full of faith and hope, and today there is much rejoicing in Heaven. Vaya con Dios.
Funeral services will be Saturday, December 1, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Jon Ewers officiating.
