Estella Bertha (McCoy) Davis passed away in Shawnee, Oklahoma on Sunday, August 9, 2020, at the age of 95 years.
Stella was the daughter of Shelton 'Shep' McCoy & Rosa Mae (Campbell) McCoy, born on October 27, 1924 in Lamar, Oklahoma, where she was brought up and attended schools. She graduated Lamar High School, moved to California,
and began a succession of various occupations, starting with work in an aircraft factory, at the height of World War II. She was working for the phone company in Los Angeles when she met Norman R. Davis, and later married Norm  on May 21, 1971, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked as a clerk for the Fluor Corporation in Los Angeles, and also as a bartender. She was a licensed beautician and loved clothes and fashion. She loved working and staying busy, and gardening was one of her favorite activities. She and Norm lived in California for many years, in Long Beach, San Jose, and Los Gatos. After retiring, they moved to Oklahoma and lived in Holdenville for a couple of years, before settling in Seminole, their home for the past 28 years.
Stella is preceded in death by her parents, Shep & Rosa McCoy; eight brothers: Homer, Bill, Jim, Tom, George 'Sonny', John, Joel, and Kelsa McCoy; two sisters, Marie Applegate and Elva 'Pete' Manley; three sisters-in-law:  Amelia, Nell, and Colene McCoy.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Norm Davis, of the home; her brother, Jack McCoy, of Holdenville; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie McCoy and Ruth McCoy; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends,
including her beloved Chihuahua, Sugar Sweet Davis.
