Emma Lou Coley-Davis passed from this life on Sunday morning, June 27, 2010, at Holdenville General Hospital, Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was 85 years old.

Emma was the daughter of Comma & Susanna (Long) Lowe, born on July 25, 1924, north of Holdenville, where she was brought up and attended schools. She was a graduate of Yeager High School and attended East Central University, where she earned a BA in Psychology.

She was married for many years to Robert Paul Coley, who passed away in the 1980s. She later married William G. Davis, who also preceded her in death.

Emma worked as a private-duty nurse, and managed the Hodges Hotel in Wewoka. She loved arts and crafts, and ran an Arts & Crafts store in the Hodges Hotel while she was manager there.

Emma loved people, and loved being involved in her community. She was a member of the Grant Chapel Church, the Oklahoma Indian Methodist Conference and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of the Vcolvke Emetvloketv Club in Wewoka, and served as Chairperson of the Older American Program (OAP) in Wewoka.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Comma & Susanna Lowe; two husbands, Robert Paul Coley and William G. Davis; an infant brother and infant sister; six brothers: William, George, Howard, Tom, Eddie and Albert Lowe.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, various other relatives and many friends, including her ver dear friend Shirley Lawry.

Services will be held at Lillye Chapel, Fisher Funeral Home in Holdenville - wake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, and funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 29. Emma will be laid to rest in the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Rev. Dan Factor is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Steven Lowe, Norman Franks, Amos Lena, Elliot Barnett, Thomas Lowe. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Jefferson, James Lowe and Fred Lowe.
