Obituary

Elsiephine Elliott passed away in Oklahoma City on Monday, January 13, 2020, at the age of 84 years.
Elsiephine was the daughter of Joseph Lowe Sr. & Hepsey (Harjo) Lowe, born on August 21, 1935, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and was a graduate of Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas. She studied at Kiowa School of Practical Nursing in Lawton to become an LPN. She married Robert Elliott at Talihina on September 3, 1961. She worked as an LPN at the Indian Hospital in Talihina until 1985, when the family moved to Holdenville, and then worked at the Ada Indian Hospital until she retired in 1999. She loved attending gospel singings, and her grandchildren's sporting events. She was an OU fan, and a diehard Celtics fan. She was a member of the Wewoka Indian Church at Yeager.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Hepsey Lowe; her son, Joe Elliott, on January 10, 2020; her sister, Margaret Marshall, infant twin brother and sister, and her brother, Eugene Lowe.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Elliott, of Moore; granddaughters Pamela Jackson and Hope Elliott, both of Holdenville and grandson Zach Buck of Elk Grove, CA; great grandchildren: Aliyah Tiger, Rhyon Elliott, Devon Tiger, Elisah Tiger, Liberty Jackson, Zechariah Jackson, Autumn Jackson, Nehemiah Jackson, Nokose Elliott; her sister, Matilda King of Holdenville, and brother, Joseph Lowe Jr. of Okmulgee; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were Friday, January 17, 2020, 10:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Pastor Bill Foote officiating. Elsiephine was laid to rest at Talihina Cemetery in graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers were Robert King Jr., Kevin King, Phillip Marshall, Ray Jackson, Justin Franks, and Mike Lowe. Honorary pallbearer was Justin Ritchie.
