Elgin Kenneth 'Buddy' Factor passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the age of 71 years.
Buddy was the son of Kenneth & Josephine (Cook) Factor, born on September 27, 1945, in Yeager, Oklahoma. He attended Holdenville schools, and then attended and graduated Haskell Institute. Following graduation, he worked at various jobs. He married Shelia Bigpond on July 6, 1970, in Okmulgee. They have lived since 1974 in Stroud, where he worked for 13 years at Allied Refinery.
Buddy was a member of Salt Creek United Methodist Church in Holdenville. He loved to watch ALL sports, including car racing and all OU sports, including OU Ladies Softball. He enjoyed camping at the Stroud PowWow.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Josephine Factor; one sister, Richenda Joyce Factor; infant brother Ricky Harjo; granddaughter Christian Collette Shockley.
He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Shelia, of the home; two children, Angela Ross (Anthony) of Bixby, and Elgin Kenneth 'Kenny' Factor Jr. of Stroud; two grandsons, Ronald Gene Shockley and Hunter Ross; six great grandchildren: Tessa Geanine Shockley, Hailey Lynn Shockley, Michael T. 'Little Mikey' Shockley, Matthew Bowen, Ray Shockley, and Kieven Swake; one sister, Christina Screechowl of Tulsa; special friend Debbie Clark; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends; his beloved Chihuahua, 'Boss'.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 28, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Salt Creek United Methodist Church, and Buddy will be laid to rest at Long Family Cemetery. Rev. Paul Fixico and Mr. Louis McGeeley will officiate. Procession to the church will depart the funeral home on Thursday, April 27 at 4:00 p.m. and wake services will be held at 7:00 p.m.
