Edward Gayland 'Ed' Moore passed away in Skiatook, Oklahoma on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 84 years.

Ed was the son of Carl Moore Sr. & Edith (Geyer) Moore, born on October 21, 1940, in Atwood, Oklahoma, where his early childhood years were spent. He moved with his family to Oklahoma City and attended schools there until the family moved to Arizona, where he graduated high school. Following graduation he joined the U.S. Army and served from March of 1959 to July of 1962. He returned to live in Oklahoma City, where he met and married Kathy Lambson. He worked at various jobs, for Southwestern Bell, AT&T, and many years for Lucent Technologies as a components tester, retiring in 2007. He enjoyed astronomy, science fiction, and researching family genealogy.

Ed is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Edith Moore; three brothers: Lonnie Moore, Carl Moore Jr, and Roy Ray Moore; one sister, Bonnie Moore.

He is survived by three daughters: Angela Moore of Moore, Alesha Frederick (Butch) of Yukon, and Lacinda Pearson (Bruce) of Skiatook; four grandchildren: Justin Frederick, Abbey Frederick, Coby Frederick, and Katie Frederick; nieces, nephews, other relatives, many friends.

Private family graveside services were held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, and Ed was laid to rest at Atwood Cemetery.
