Douglas George Allen Smith was found in his Wewoka home on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the age of 34.

The son of Allen Dale Smith and Linda Gail (Madron) French. Born July 23, 1991, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Graduating from Bowlegs High School in 2008. He worked alongside his father at Commercial Brick in Wewoka, being a valuable employee since 2018.

Doug was a simple man who felt most at peace when alone. He enjoyed the outdoors and driving down dirt roads while listening to classic country music and southern gospel.

Doug was preceded in death by the woman that raised him, Dawn Michelle (Cross) Smith, and his paternal grandmother, Velma Sue (Barkheimer) Smith.

He is survived by his father Dale Smith and step mother Dosha House of Wewoka; his older brother David Smith and wife Jessie Smith of Port Orchard WA, and younger sister Devon Smith of Shawnee. Along with many other relatives and friends that love him.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 16, at 10 am at Tate Mountain Cemetery south of Wewoka.  His pallbearers are: Joe Bayles, David Brewer, Chris Miller, Larry House, Justin House, and James Coles.

Viewing will be at Fisher Funeral home Wednesday, July, 15 starting at 10 am til 7 pm.
