Donna Louise Venable passed away at Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville early on Thursday morning, February 15, 2018, at the age of 66 years.
Donna was the daughter of Clarence H. 'Buster' Venable & Pauline (Roundtree) Venable, born on July 1, 1951, in Madera, California. She was brought up and attended schools in California, before moving with her family to Oklahoma in the 1980s. For the past six years, Donna has been a cheerful resident of Heritage Village Nursing Home in Holdenville, where she loved to harass the staff and was fondly known as the "walking newspaper" by keeping up daily with everything happening at Heritage Village. She also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo, and doing word search puzzles. She was polite and pleasant, and she will be missed.
She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence 'Buster' Venable, and her mother, Pauline Leach; one brother, Elton Ray Venable.
She is survived by one brother, Jackie Venable, and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Venable, both of Holdenville; seven nephews: David Morgan (Lisa) of Holdenville, Mark Maynard (Cass) of West Columbia TX, Johnny Venable (Tammy), Everett Maynard, Buster Venable (Pam), all of Holdenville, Bobby Maynard (Rose) of West Columbia TX, and Wesley Row (Karen) of Holdenville; thirteen great nieces and nephews: Megan, Aaron, Brandon, Carlee, Raggan, Rylan, Morgan, Daniel, Trissitie, Derek, Kayla, Marissa, and Taylor; numerous great great nieces and nephews; her special friend, Edward Walker of Heritage Village, along with all her Heritage Village family and friends.
Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, and Donna was laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery, with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating.
