Obituary

Donna Darlene Mooney passed away in Holdenville on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2017, at the age of 66 years.

Donna was the daughter of Melvin & Ola Lee (Linder) Willard, born on June 12, 1951, in Fresno, California. Her family moved to Oklahoma when she was young, and Donna was brought up in the Gerty area. She attended Gerty and Calvin schools, and was a graduate of Calvin High School. She moved to Holdenville following graduation and worked at various occupations, including home health provider, and cook at June's Old Time Diner. She spent most of her adult life in Holdenville. She was married to Mike Mooney in Van Buren, Arkansas, in 2004. She loved to cook, and enjoyed playing Bingo. She was a volunteer worker at Fishes & Loaves thrift store on Main Street in Holdenville.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin & Ola Lee Willard, and two sisters, Joy Dean and Laquita Owens.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Mooney, of the home; her daughter, Sherry Adams (Jason) of Muskogee, and her son, B. J. Johnson of Hominy; three stepchildren: Marcy Mooney (Amy) of Lamar, Jeff Mooney (Gretchen) of Mounds, and Crystal Hogshooter (Frankie) of Holdenville; nine grandchildren: Kelsey, Melissa, Tabitha, Alex, Hailey, Jacee, Jackson, Azlyn, and Frankie; three sisters: Carolyn West, Ola Mariel, and Doris Cook; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Thursday, December 21, 2017, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, with Rev. Dane Robinson officiating.
