Obituary

Diana Cutting passed away at her home in Midwest City, Oklahoma on Tuesday morning, July 4, 2017 at the age of 90 years.

Diana was the daughter of Henry & Laura Lucindy (Sherron) Leach, born on January 23, 1927 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up in Holdenville and in the Spaulding community, and attended Spaulding schools.

She moved to Midwest City in 1952 and worked for various businesses, including a dry cleaning company and an ice cream factory. She was married to Wayne Cutting on May 28, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The two of them were employed as aircraft mechanics at Tinker Air Force Base when they met. They dated, married, and worked together for several years before retiring. They enjoyed fishing, and especially enjoyed bowling. Diana was exceptionally good at bowling and they were members of many leagues, with others always interested in recruiting Diana. For the two of them, their favorite thing of all was gambling. They returned to Las Vegas several times each year, always a road trip, always stopping at every 'watering hole' along the way, always taking all the time they wanted to get there. For years they enjoyed traveling to the Gulf, to Tunica, and other places where gambling was legal. After gambling became legal in Oklahoma, they never left their home State again.

Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Laura Leach; two sons, Jimmy Durbin and Jerry Durbin; brother Bill Leach, and sister Betty Collis.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Wayne Cutter, of the home; her brother and sister-in-law, J. D. & Peggy Leach, and sister and brother-in-law Fay & James Rinehart, all of Holdenville; sister-in-law Betty Shelton of Harrah, and two brothers-in-law, Charles Cutting of Shawnee and David Shelton of Seminole; nieces and nephews, other family members, and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, and Diana was laid to rest at Holdenville Cemetery. Rev. Jim Crawford was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were Lloyd Collis, Clyde Collis, Tim Leach, Justin Leach, Jay Greenlee, and Jarod Murray.
