Obituary

Dennis George Haynes passed away in Holdenville on Monday, March 9, 2015, at the age of 48 years.

Dennis was the son of Hoover & Aggie (Sewell) Haynes, born on July 4, 1966 in Talihina, Oklahoma. He was brought up in Holdenville and Wewoka. He graduated Wewoka High School in 1984, and earned an Associates Degree in Accounting from Wright Business College in Oklahoma City. He was employed in various occupations and worked for Wal Mart, for Wrangler in Seminole, and as a cashier at Creek Nation Casino in Holdenville. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports, particularly OU and the Oklahoma Thunder. He was a member of the Indian Nation Baptist Church in Seminole, and he loved to sing.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hoover & Aggie Haynes.

He is survived by two sons, Nick Haynes and Zach Bradley, and their mother, Ladawn Billy, all of the home; three sisters: Martha Huntley of Seminole, Polly Harrison of Holdenville, and Amanda Haynes of San Carlos, Arizona; six aunts: Velma Martin, Wanda Sewell, and Deborah Sewell, all of Wewoka, Little Pauline Haynes, Big Pauline Haynes, and Lou Haynes, all of Henryetta; five uncles, Jack Sewell of Idabel, Newman Sewell of Tahlequah, Thomas Sewell of Dallas, Texas, Bill Haynes of Seminole, and Vernon Haynes of Arizona; three nieces, three nephews, eighteen great nieces and nephews; various other family members, and many friends.

Officiating ministers are Rev. Houston Tiger, Rev. Bill Barnett, and Rev. Louis Johnson. Pallbearers are Wallace Scott Jr., Bunny Powell, Michael Scott, Roy Powell, Darrell Powell, and Danny Powell. Honorary pallbearers are Comma Harjo, Lewis Harjo, Johnny Wayne Harjo Jr., Marty Haynes, Billy Haynes, and Zach Bradley.
