Debra Jean McDaniel passed away at her home in Wewoka, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 74 years.

Debra is the daughter of John Tritch and Marilyn (Curtis) Riggs, born on July 30, 1951 in Mason City, Iowa. She was brought up and attended schools in San Diego, California and was a graduate of James Madison High School in San Diego. She was married in San Diego to Paul Brinsfield in 1980. She moved to Holdenville in 2006 and worked for Davis Correctional Center for seven years as a Correctional Counselor, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed crocheting, listening to music, spending time on the computer, and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Riggs; her husband, Paul Brinsfield; her sister, Cindy Barbo; her granddaughter, Christina 'Sissy' Vallejo.

She is survived by her father, John Tritch of Iowa; three daughters: Jennifer Brinsfield, Ramie Mires, and Paula Vallejo, all of Wewoka; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; her best friend, Connie Steadman, of Iowa; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11:00am at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel.
