Dawnyal Graham Hill, 52, left this world on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Dawnyal Kayleen Graham was born on June 20, 1973 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Donald and Gwendylyn (Jones) Graham.

She graduated from Holdenville High School with honors in 1991. After graduation she attended OSU, later obtaining her Bachelors in Broadcasting and Journalism from Cameron University.

She married Jeffrey Hill on June 21, 2002 in Holdenville. To this marriage was born three children: Lillian Hill, William Hill and Nathaniel Hill.

Dawnyal worked many years at Holdenville Daily News and Eufaula Indian Journal and for the past 12 years at the McAlester News Capital. She received the Oklahoma Press Association award in newspaper design. She was a very active volunteer at the annual Woody Guthrie Festival for more than 25 years. She had a passion for music and enjoyed going to concerts and music festivals. She was a Hughes County Girl Scout Troop Leader for 35 years and enjoyed attending Girl Scout activities, especially the camps.

She was a very dedicated mother, she enjoyed attending music festivals with her children and spending quality time with them. She also adored her companion, Galena.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Graham; five uncles: David Graham, Edward Graham, James Jones, Larry Jones, and Randy Jones; one aunt, Joann Newton; maternal grandparents, Oda Jones & Lillian Jones; paternal grandparents, Cecil Edward 'Curly' Graham & Dovie May Graham.

She is survived by her children: Lillian, William and Nathaniel; her mother, Gwen and spouse Ron Miller of Carson; two brothers, Jeremy Graham and wife Amanda, of Lamar, and Dustin Graham and wife Jessica, of Lawton; three uncles: Paul Jones and wife Denise, of Holdenville, Bruce Graham and wife Betsy, of Texas, Lee Jones and wife Lynn, of Chesapeake, Virginia; three aunts, Ruby Bevelhymer and husband Earl, and Jerretta Cook, all of Wewoka, and Cheryl Graham of Lamar; a host of other relatives and friends.

Dawnyal was a giving soul, she always had a beautiful smile and a loving heart to give everyone.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 22, 2025, 4:00 p.m. at the Lamar Community Center. Pall Bearers were Oda Jones, Speedy Gonzalez, James Westwood, Christopher Epperley, TJ Morrison, and Ricky Allen. Honorary Pall Bearers were Dustin Graham, Jeremy Graham, William Hill and Nathaniel Hill.
