Daniel Paul Gerths passed away in Oklahoma City on Monday, September 6, 2021, at the age of 26 years.

Daniel was the son of Scott & Mary (Ellis) Gerths, born on July 31, 1995, in Lewisville, Texas. He was brought up and attended schools in Celina, Texas, and graduated Celina High School with the Class of 2013. He graduated Oklahoma State University in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering. He was employed by Meter Check and worked briefly in Broken Arrow before transferring to their Oklahoma City office. Some of Daniel's favorite things were golf, fishing, and playing sports. He loved watching movies, Harry Potter movies in particular, and he was a devoted OSU Cowboy fan.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Virgil Ellis, and his paternal grandfather, Gerald Gerths.

He is survived by his parents, Scott & Mary Gerths of Frisco TX; sister Amanda Savage (Landon) of Austin TX, and brother Shane Gerths of Frisco TX; maternal grandmother Shirley Ellis of Stuart OK; paternal grandmothers Kathryn Marx of Omaha NB, and Christy Morrison of New York City NY; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 9, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Stuart Church of Christ, and Daniel was laid to rest at Hilltop Cemetery in Stuart, with Mr. Chris Rampey officiating. Pallbearers were Scott Gerths, Shane Gerths, Landon Savage, John Ellis, Landon Lohmann, Ridge Sandler, and Tyler Groskopf.
