Curtis A. Burns' Obituary
Curtis A. Burns was accepted into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the age of 86.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vannie Vaxter Burns & Lily (McEwen) Burns; his brother, Ernest Burns, and two sisters, Arlena Owen and Ruby Ladd.
Curtis leaves his wife of thirty-seven years, Marie L. Burns; daughter Carrie Elena Burns of Keller, Texas; son Michael Burns and daughter Nancy L. Johnson, both of San Bernadino, California; one stepson, Alan C. Conlon of Corona, California; he celebrates one grandson, M. J. Burns; nieces and nephews include Arthur Owen and wife Judy, of Bellflower, California, Carolyn Boyde of Riverton, Utah, Dennis & Eugenia Ladd of Holdenville; cousin Dorothy McEwen Terry of Holdenville.
Curtis worked in trucking in California, and farmed in the Calvin area. He married Marie L. Buss on November 3, 1973 in Placentia, California.
Curtis was a very much cherished and beloved man in his family. He was a man of integrity and kindness. The celebration of the joy of his life will be at Calvin First Baptist Church on Saturday, February 18, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor James Anderson officiating.
