Culley Fearando
Carpitcher
September 7, 1944 – April 2, 2026
Culley Fearando Carpitcher passed away at his home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the age of 81 years.
Culley is the son of Titusie & Lona (Harjo) Carpitcher, born on September 7, 1944, in Sasakwa, Oklahoma, where he was brought up, attended schools, and made his home for his entire life.
Culley was a gentle man, humble and kind, and happily content with the simple joys of life and he was content with what God had blessed him with. He was the eleventh of twelve children and was baptized at age twelve. He served in the U.S. Army. He had an uncanny ability to tell time precisely without checking a clock or watch, and enjoyed checking the mail every day at exactly the right time. Out of the hundreds of television channels and shows available, he loved watching Law & Order. He loved his dogs and cared for them through old age, and would always have a new puppy to care for. He was not a fan of large crowds, but he loved the company of his family and close friends. He will be sorely missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Titusie & Lona Carpitcher; six sisters: Alice Walters, Effie Lena Harjo, Eliza Coon, Zelda Morgan, Irene Carpitcher, and Christine Carpitcher; five brothers: Sam, Harry, Alfred, Andrew, and Bunny.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and friends, including close friend and caregiver Thomas Lowe of Sasakwa.
Graveside services were held at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Sasakwa at 1:30pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Deacon Mike Jefferson and Pastor Bill 'Skip' Foster were the officiating ministers.
