Clinton Arthur 'Sonny' Seamon passed away at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City on Wednesday evening, August 24, 2011, at the age of 71 years.
Sonny was the son of Richard Frank Seamon & Opal (Burden) Seamon, born on July 10, 1940, at Weleetka, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in the Weleetka/Dustin area. As a young man, he worked for the #9 Ranch and then later for the Roscoe Snell Ranch. He married and moved to Victoria, Texas, where he lived for 35 years, before moving to Holdenville seven years ago.
He loved fishing and hunting, attending rodeos with his son, Eldon, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard & Opal Seamon; one brother, Richard Seamon; Joyce, his wife of 35 years; his stepson, Jesse Seamon.
He is survived by three sons: Joe Seamon and wife Kathy of Dustin, Oklahoma, Eldon Crawford and wife Donna of Holdenville, Clinton A. Seamon of Hitchita, Oklahoma; one daughter, Betty Seamon of Eufaula, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Hank Seamon of Oregon; nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel.
