Obituary

Clark Otho Fitzhugh passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, at the age of 77 years.

Clark was the son of Frank & Callie (Warren) Fitzhugh, born on July 14, 1935, in Callisburg, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ola Ruth Miller, and one brother,
D. L. Fitzhugh; three half sisters: Jeri, Eunice, and Irene.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Selma, of the home;
two children, Todd McKinney and wife Shawna, of San Diego, California, and Kimberly Trusik and husband Paul, of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania;
six stepchildren: Janet May and husband Tad, of Aurora, Colorado, Gary Franklin and wife Hedda, of Keller, Texas, Darrell Frankin and wife Linn, of Irving, Texas, Rodney Franklin and wife Tammy, of Arlington, Texas, David Franklin and wife Kathy, of Euless, Texas, and Ranee Gibson and husband Hondo, of Frisco, Texas;
sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren;
numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Clark was brought up and attended schools in Callisburg, Texas.
He joined the U.S. Army and served four years during the Korean War, then returned to Texas, where he lived in the Gainesville area. He met Selma Summy in Irving, Texas, and they were married on April 10, 1976, in Kingston, Oklahoma. They made their home in Irving until they retired and moved to Holdenville in 1999.

Clark loved hunting and fishing, and riding horses. He was a member of the First Church of God in Holdenville. His passing has left an empty space in our hearts and our homes, and he will be missed.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 18, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at the First Church of God in Holdenville, and Clark will be laid to rest in the Wetumka Cemetery in Wetumka, Oklahoma. Rev. Jon Ewers is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Ed Moss, Gary Langford, Shelton Miller, Jerry Fitzhugh, Kallen Wrisner, and Rene Aguirre. Honorary pallbearers are Eric Fitzhugh, Ithan Fitzhugh, Oneal Fitzhugh, Scott James, Justin Franklin, Shane Gibson, and Tommy Summy.
