Christopher Scott 'Chris' Shelton, whereabouts unknown for several months, was found in rural Seminole County on Friday, October 1, 2010. He was 27 years old.
Chris was the son of Larry Scott Shelton & Diana (Childs) Shelton, born on March 23, 1983 in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in the Seminole area. Chris loved his wife and children and family. He spent a lot of time with his father, with whom he had a special and very close relationship. He loved boxing and watching Nascar with his dad, and he loved taking care of his kids.
He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Shelton, on June 5, 2010; maternal grandmother, Rosemary Childs, and paternal grandmother, Christine Shelton; two great-grandmothers, Hattie Hawkins and Dorothy Harden; one uncle, Dale Shelton.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie; three children: Alexis Shelton, Alyah Shelton, and Zackarius Shelton; his mother, Diana Madron and stepfather Randy Madron; stepmother Melissa Shelton of Seminole; one brother, Kyle Shelton, and two sisters, Jackie Shelton and Scotlyn Shelton; stepbrother Jeremy Madron; childhood friend, Mitch McNabb; paternal grandparents, Bob & Betty Shelton and maternal grandparents, Jack & Doris Childs; four aunts: Courtney (Mark) Wyrick, Jeannie (Randy) Barbre, Rita Goldston, and Gayla Weldon; one niece, Serinady Shelton, and two nephews, Blaiden Shelton and Austyn Zapone; numerous other relatives and friends who love and miss him.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010, 2:00 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Holdenville, with Rev. Earl Scroggins officiating.
