Charlotte Rose Johnson passed away in Oklahoma City on Friday evening, July 8, 2016, at the age of 72 years.
Charlotte was the daughter of Winford & Mildred (Stiffler) Dilbeck, born on June 22, 1944, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, and also in Garland, Texas and Manteca, California.
She was married to Richard J. Johnson on January 19, 1965, in Garland, Texas. They lived for a while in Manteca and in Garland, then moved to Holdenville in 1970. They made their home in the Holdenville area and enjoyed forty-four years together before Richard passed away on September 14, 2009.
Charlotte remained in Holdenville until moving to Wewoka in 2014. She enjoyed reading novels and watching movies. She loved listening to and singing Gospel music. She was a member of the Holdenville First Assembly of God Church. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Winford & Mildred Dilbeck; her husband, Richard Johnson, and their infant son, Jay Johnson; her brother, Bobby Dilbeck.
She is survived by two children, Joy Shaw (David) of Wewoka, and James Johnson (Rebecca) of Cortez CO; six grandchildren: Kaylee Johnson, Katelyn Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Jesse Massey, Joshua Massey, and Caleb Massey; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, 10:00 a.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, and Charlotte was laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. Rev. Allen Lewis was the officiating minister. Pallbearers were Matt Kirkendoll, Trey Dilbeck, Christopher Dilbeck, Randy Dilbeck, Bobby Dilbeck, and David Shaw. Honorary pallbearers were James Johnson and Floyd Ralston.
