Charles Frank 'Chuck' Childers, Jr. passed away at his home in Wewoka on Friday, July 2, 2010, at the age of 58 years.
Chuck was the son of Charles Frank Childers, Sr. & Mary Ann (Kerschesky) Childers, born on May 6, 1952, in Whittier, California. He was brought up and attended schools in the Los Angeles area of California. He married Melinda Curlee on January 8, 1991, in North Carolina, where they lived for three years before moving to Bowlegs, Oklahoma, their home for more than fourteen years. Chuck enjoyed serving as a volunteer for the Bowlegs Fire Department. He was a member of the Gleaners Holiness Church in Wewoka. He loved spending time with family and friends, and especially loved the company of his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Mary Ann Childers; two brothers, Richard Seneff and Johnny Seneff, and one sister, Sandra Seneff.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda, of the home; three children: Mary Ann McCoy and husband Mike, Carrie Nunn and husband Bryan, and Crystal Childers, all of Wewoka; five grandchildren: Anthony Childers, Haley Nunn, Hannah McCoy, Laney Nunn, and Matthew McCoy; one sister, Linda Chandler and husband Ron, of Atwood, and one brother, Jerry Childers of Seminole; several nieces and nephews, various other relatives, and many friends.
