Charlene Ann Anthony passed away in Midwest City, Oklahoma on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at the age of 69.
Charlene was the daughter of Owen H. Rives II & Elon Virginia (Moore) Rives, born on September 29, 1942, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in Holdenville, graduating Holdenville High School in 1960. She attended Columbia Christian College in Columbia, Missouri, Oklahoma University, and Southern Methodist University in Dallas, before returning to Holdenville in 1974.
Charlene was married to Macie L. Anthony in Holdenville on November 7, 1975. She worked for First National Bank, Holdenville General Hospital, for her father at U. S. Drilling, and in various other occupations. She was a member of the Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church. She loved music, travel, photography, fishing and camping, writing, and especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Owen & Elon Rives, and one brother, O. H. 'Bud' Rives.
She is survived by her husband, Macie Anthony, of the home; two sons, Steve Corcoran of Mena, Arkansas, and Michael Corcoran of Edmond, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Sean Corcoran of Ada, Alison Corcoran of Edmond, Brooke Corcoran of Konawa, Alec Corcoran and Addison Corcoran, both of Edmond, Grace Wagner and Gabriel Corcoran, both of Mena, Arkansas; other family members and many friends.
Graveside services will be held and Charlene will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012, with Rev. Amanda Lockwood officiating.
