Cathey Irene Cummings passed away on Sunday morning, April 10, 2011 at Mercy Health Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 48 years.

Cathey was the daughter of Milburn Rogers & Irene (Weaver) Rogers, born on March 8, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was brought up and attended schools in the Tulsa area, and graduated Webster High School in 1981. She was married to Ernest 'Ernie' Cummings on September 6, 1979, in Garden City, Kansas. They lived in various places in Oklahoma including Tulsa, Woodward, and Cement. They had made their home in Ada for the past four years.

Cathey worked in the health care industry until her own health failed two years ago. She enjoyed working with computers, and was very good at it. She loved fishing, crafts and reading, and more than anything else she loved raising and watching her kids. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Ernie, of the home; two children, Chris Cummings and Jaclene Cummings, both of the home; her mother, Irene Weaver; her father and stepmother, Milburn & Coleen Rogers; her mother-in-law, Geraldine Cummings; two sisters, Ruth Lee of Frost, Texas and Chrissie Wicker of Grand Prairie, Texas; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 12, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home's Lillye Chapel, and Cathey will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery. Rev. Jason Yarbrough is the officiating ministers. Pallbearers are Wendell Lee, Casey Cummings, Colton Cummings, Jerry Rogers, Ronnie Rogers and Larry England.
