Obituary

Carolyn Ann Foster passed from this life in Muskogee, Oklahoma on February 3, 2020 at the age of 65 years.

Carolyn was the daughter of James Turpin & Thelma (Cotton) Turpin, born on March 15, 1954, in Holdenville, Oklahoma.

She was brought up and attended schools in the Calvin area, and graduated Calvin High School with the Class of 1972.  She was married to Rex Hightower and to this union a son and daughter were born, twins J. R. and Crystal.

Carolyn worked in Holdenville at Seampruf, and for seventeen years at Wal-Mart.  She married Wayne Foster on October 26, 2011, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing farm chores on the John Deere tractor, mowing the grass, and working in her flowerbeds. She enjoyed crafts and woodworking, and even added a room onto her house.  Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved taking care of her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was a member of Non Missionary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James & Thelma Turpin, brother Elvin Turpin, and niece Tammy Turpin.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Foster of the home; twin children, son James 'J. R.' Hightower (Ticia) of Haywood OK, and daughter Crystal Harden (Billy Rice) of Arpelar OK; four grandchildren: Hunter Harden, Stormi Harden, Briar Hightower, and Lily Hightower; one great granddaughter, Bristol Harden, and one great grandchild on the way; two brothers, Shelley Turpin (Brenda) of Non OK, and Dennis Turpin (Connie) of Wilson OK, and one sister, Connie Martin of Anchorage AK; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held at Capitol Heights Missionary Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020, and Carolyn was laid to rest at Holdenville cemetery, with Rev. Mike Russell officiating. Pallbearers were Billy Rice, Hunter Harden, Corey Martin, Dustin Turpin, Gage Coil, and Briar Hightower.  Honorary pallbearers were Chad Martin, Kyler Turpin, Kaden Turpin, and Kaulen Turpin.
