Bill Arthur passed away in McAlester, Oklahoma on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at the age of 93 years.

Bill was the son of Roy & Linnie (Mills) Arthur, born on December 18, 1926, in Lamar, Oklahoma, where he was brought up and attended schools, farmed and ranched, and made his home for most of his life. He served for two years, 1945-1946, with the U.S. Army in Japan. He married Phyllis Swope in 1957. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver, hauling heavy equipment for the pipeline. He loved working his ranch, driving around and visiting with friends, playing Poker, and eating at Amy's.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Linnie Arthur; his wife of 33 years, Phyllis, in 1990; his son-in-law, Randy Dennie, in 2009; one brother, Melvin Arthur, and a sister, Pauline, who died at two years of age.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Dennie, of Lamar; grandson Ashton Dennie of Holdenville; two great grandchildren, Tristan Dennie and Tresley Dennie, also of Holdenville; other family members and friends.

Memorial visitation was held at Fisher Funeral Home-Lillye Chapel, 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16.
