Obituary

Betty Lou Langdon passed away in Holdenville, Oklahoma on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the age of 81 years.

Betty is the daughter of Lawrence & Jewell (White) Summers, born on July 9, 1943, in Holdenville, Oklahoma. In her young years she lived with her family in numerous locations in the U.S. and foreign countries including Venezuela. They settled in Oklahoma and Betty graduated Wewoka High School with the Class of 1961. She was married to Lancell Langdon in Ada, Oklahoma on February 3, 1965. They made their home in Holdenville, and remained there for their entire lives. They were blessed with two daughters, Lori and Amy. Betty was devoted to her family and was also active in the community as a member of Holdenville Mothers Club, Girl Scout troop leader, and various other local activities until she retired in 2006. Some of her favorite things were reading, gardening, and water skiing. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She loved being outdoors and spending time at the lake.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence & Jewell Summers; her husband, Lancell Langdon, in 1986.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Lori & Jerry Sanford of McLoud and Amy & Kevin Hubbard of Edmond; three grandchildren: Ashley, Tyler, and Hunter, and one great-granddaughter, Kendall; various other family members and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Monday, February 17, 2025, 10:00am at First Church of the Nazarene in Holdenville.
