Obituary

Bentley James Ellis was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on February 26, 2011, to Marissa Ellis and Adam Foran. Bentley passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2023, after eleven short years of bringing joy to all who knew him.

Bentley was brought up in Holdenville and was in the fifth grade at Thomas Elementary School, and much of his education was from home school. He was outgoing and friendly, always happy, and always carrying one of his baby dolls with him. Although health issues kept him from being as active as he would have liked, he enjoyed kicking a soccer ball or shooting basketballs, and playing with Hot Wheels. He loved listening to music or watching movies on his iPad. His favorite singers were Luke Bryan and Morgan Wallen, and his favorite movies were Ghostbusters and Transformers. Macaroni & Cheese and quesadillas were his favorite foods. He attended New Beginnings Fellowship in Wewoka. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh, and especially loved playing with his sisters and spending time with his family. Bentley was very much loved, and will be very much missed.

He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Tommy & Maxine Martin, and two cousins, Tommy Martin and Cameron Swadley.

He is survived by his mother, Marissa Ellis, of the home; his father, Adam Foran of Holdenville; three sisters: Addyson Ellis and Emmalyn Ellis, both of the home, and Brylee Withey of Oklahoma City; one brother, Brody Casula of Shawnee; maternal grandmother, Tonya Martin of Holdenville, and maternal grandfather, Billy Martin of Choctaw; paternal grandmother, Debbie Foran of Wetumka, and paternal grandfather, Lee Foran of Wyoming; maternal great grandparents, Ralph & MaeRee Hunter of Holdenville; aunt Shanda Ellis of Tulsa, aunt and uncle Abby & Weston Brown of Newcastle, uncle Stephen Martin of Choctaw, and uncle James Ellis of Holdenville; numerous other relatives, and many friends.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, 2:00pm at Legacy Church, 8th & Echo Streets in Holdenville, with Rev. Matt Stubblefield officiating.
