Barbara is the daughter of O. D. 'Odie' Turpin & Cecil Clarice (Votaw) Turpin, born on November 22, 1929, in Earlsboro, Oklahoma. Barbara enjoyed being outside. In her younger years she loved riding her horse, Tony. She loved working in the yard, gardening in particular, both flowers and vegetables. She loved family gatherings. She was a member of the 4th & Broadway Church of Christ until it closed and she transferred her membership to the East Main Church of Christ, where she attended faithfully until her health failed.
