Obituary

Services for Annette Renee Hamilton, 44 of Anadarko, OK will be held at the First Assembly of
God Church , 216 West Alabama, Anadarko, OK at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19,
2014. Annette received her perfect healing on November 15, 2014 at her home in Anadarko,
Oklahoma surrounded by her family. She was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma on August 3, 1970
to Donna and James Hamilton. She attended Moss Public Schools until her Senior year of high
school. Her family moved from the Horntown Community to Anadarko where she graduated
from Anadarko High School Class of 1988. She attended college at Cameron University and
USAO. She was pinned as an LPN in Chickasha, Oklahoma in 1999 from the Canadian Valley
Vo-tech. She was employed by Grady Memorial Hospital for 15 years during which time she
received her RN Degree from Rose State College. After receiving her Bachelors of Nursing
Degree she continued to work at Grady Memorial Hospital and later worked at Ft. Sill Medical
Facility in Lawton.

For a short period, before being re-diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, she was treated and
in remission until 2009 when she was diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer. The doctors in
Oklahoma City gave her six months to live. We celebrated what thought would be her 39th and
last birthday in August 2009. She fought a courageous fight against cancer from 2009 until the
time of her death. Annette went to Cancer Treatment Centers of America many times for
treatments, where she received excellent care from nurses and doctors. Annette was a fighter
and overcomer that never gave up while traveling back and forth to Tulsa for treatments.
Her favorite hobby was watching NASCAR races and cheering on her favorite driver Tony
Stewart. In January of 2011 she was able to fulfill her dream of meeting Tony Stewart and get
his autograph while in Tulsa for treatments. She took the opportunity to give Tony a breast
cancer awareness bracelet to wear. In September of this year she became very ill and decided
to come home and be near her family and most importantly her son Zachary.

Annette is survived by and leaves to cherish her memory, her son Zachary Hamilton of the
home, parents James and Donna Hamilton, brother Richard Hamilton, sister Candy McGhghy
and husband Dwayne, niece Megan Ladyman and husband Hunter, nephew Dalton McGhghy,
great nephew Hayden Ladyman all of Anadarko. A very special friend and caretaker whom she
loved like a sister Donna Blake of Elk City. Special friend that she referred to as "boyfriend"
Bobby Settle of Anadarko, and her very special Aunt JoVaughn Davis and husband David of
Verden, OK, as well as many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends that she enjoyed.

She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, John and Addie Kibby, Step-
Grandmother, Lee Kibby, Paternal Grandparents, Joe and Carmelita Hamilton and Uncle Lloyd
Hamilton.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Anadarko where she loved to
worship God, which was very important to Annette. She was a witness to all of us throughout
her life. She fought hard and gave God all the glory. She shared the love of God with others as
long as she possibly could. The family would like to thank everyone that came by and made
these past weeks so special, brought food, gave care, and mostly prayers from all.

In lieu of flowers there has been an account set up for her son Zachary Hamilton's education at
any Mid-First Bank.
