Alyene Pat Akin of Holdenville passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75.

Pat was born on March 29, 1943, in Stuart, Oklahoma, to Edward Jett & Alyene Jett. She was beloved by many in her family and community. She was a member of the Holdenville Nazarene Church and worked for many years for the Hughes County Health Department.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Alyene Jett; her son, Larry Akin, in 1991.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Akin Jr., of the home; son Tony Akin and Ron Venable of Galveston TX; daughter Cathy Akin and Ed Cook of Stillwater OK; sons she claimed as her own, Pat Baker of Wichita KS, and Tye Baker of Salina KS; grandsons Denton Akin and Dustin Akin; several great grandchildren; sister Audra Wilson of Ackworth IA; nieces and nephews, other relatives, many friends, and her beloved dog, Lady.

Graveside memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at Holdenville Cemetery, with Rev. Dane Robinson and Mr. Bill Robinson officiating.
