Allegra H. Venable passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, in Holdenville, her lifelong hometown. She was 60 years old.
Allegra was the daughter of Leonard & Frances (McBride) Madron, born on October 10, 1951, in Holdenville, Oklahoma, where she lived her entire life. She attended Holdenville schools and graduated Holdenville High School in 1969. She attended Seminole Junior College.
She was employed by the Hughes County Department of Human Services for more than 25 years, retiring on February 27, 2004. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, Macey. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, planting flowers in the spring, and riding her Harley. She was an excellent cook, and she had a very giving heart.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Madron, and her nephew, Wesley Lumpkin.
She is survived by her only son, Jamie Lasater, his wife, Kim, and their daughter, Macey, all of Holdenville; her mother, Frances McBride of Pioneer Nursing Home in Seminole; her sister and brother-in-law, Francis & Bill Lumpkin of Holdenville; and by many friends who loved her, and whom she loved like family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 21, 2012, 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church, and Allegra will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery. Officiating ministers are Rev. Tony Chesser and Rev. Marla Chesser.
