Alene Stuckey passed away at Holdenville General Hospital on Friday, June 24, 2011, at the age of 92 years.
Alene was the daughter of Jerd Sexton & Ada (Taylor) Sexton, born on August 17, 1918, at Pecan Grove, Oklahoma. She attended schools at Pecan Grove and Holdenville, and was a graduate of Holdenville High School.
Alene was married to Andy Hill and had a small son when Andy was killed overseas in World War II. She later married Earl Stuckey, and they were the parents of five children. Earl passed away in 1999.
Alene loved antiques and garage sale 'treasures'. She worked for many years at Bo's Antiques in Holdenville, and enjoyed having garage sales on the back porch or the front lawn of her home. She liked to sew and crochet, and especially enjoyed collecting and arranging flowers. She was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church, and lived all her life in Holdenville.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerd & Ada Sexton; two sisters; one son, Jerry Stuckey.
She is survived by five children: Mickey Hill, Mike Stuckey and wife June, Judy Hunter, Jo Ann Wallace, Bill Stuckey and wife Linda; eighteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, James & Mildred Sexton; various other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 27, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, and Alene will be laid to rest in the Holdenville Cemetery. Rev. Earl Scroggins is the officiating minister. Pallbearers are Josh Caron, Robert Blake, Bill Muse, Kenneth Lee, Robert Taylor and Gene Anthony.
